Jude Law’s recent Variety cover features him in a comeback role reminiscent of his early career, sparking excitement across film festivals for his recent projects. Law’s role in “The Order,” where he portrays an FBI agent set in the 1980s, received great reviews at the Venice Film Festival. This marked one of two high-profile appearances this year, as he also premiered “Eden,” directed by Ron Howard, at the Toronto International Film Festival. In this film, Law undertakes a daring portrayal involving nudity in a complex, psychedelic storyline.

In his Variety interview, Law touches on a range of topics, from his experiences in “Star Wars” and the Marvel Cinematic Universe to reflections on the homoerotic undertones in “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” an iconic role he revisited earlier this year at the Met Gala alongside Andrew Scott.

Additionally, Law’s upcoming Disney+ series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, sees him leading a young crew in an adventure through the Star Wars galaxy, a project he says is packed with nostalgic references for fans.
